Refund Policy
This Refund Policy applies to the subscription to the online service offered by Byte Imagination Roger Zacharczyk (the "Service", as defined in the Terms of Service). It complements the Terms of Service and the Buyer Terms of our Merchant of Record.
1. Merchant of Record
All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller of record to you for payment, tax, and refund-handling purposes. Refund requests are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms and Paddle's refund process.
2. Trial period
Where a free trial is offered, you have full access to the Service's functionality for the duration of the trial. The trial is the intended evaluation mechanism: cancel before the end of the trial to avoid being charged.
A valid payment method is required to start a trial. If you do not cancel before the end of the trial, your subscription converts automatically to the paid plan and the first billing cycle is charged.
3. Subscriptions are non-refundable
Subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable for the period already paid:
- Monthly subscriptions: cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. The Service remains available until then. No partial refund.
- Annual subscriptions: cancellation takes effect at the end of the current annual period. The Service remains available until then. No pro-rata refund for the unused portion.
Plan changes. Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged on a prorated basis for the remainder of the current billing period; the original charge for the lower tier is credited toward the upgrade. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period; no refund or credit is issued for the difference between the higher and lower tiers for the period already paid.
4. Account deletion
If you delete your account through the Service's self-serve deletion flow, deletion is immediate and your active subscription is cancelled at the payment processor at the same moment. No further charges are made. No refund is issued for any portion of an already-paid billing period. Refund requests outside this no-refund position remain governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms (Section 1).
5. When refunds may still be granted
Notwithstanding Section 3, Paddle may issue a refund in cases such as:
- the Service was materially unavailable for an extended period due to a verified incident on our side;
- a billing error (duplicate charge, charge after cancellation);
- circumstances Paddle considers within its standard refund window under its Buyer Terms.
To request a refund, follow Paddle's process at https://paddle.net or contact contact@byteimagination.com and we will assist you in raising the request with Paddle.
6. Consumer withdrawal and cooling-off rights
Consumer rights vary by country. The Service is a digital service supplied without a tangible medium and made available immediately after your subscription is activated.
Consumers in the European Union. You have a fourteen (14) day right of withdrawal from a distance contract under EU consumer-protection law. Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record (Section 1), the withdrawal procedure — including any consent to begin performance during the withdrawal period and the corresponding acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal may be lost once the Service has been fully performed — is operated by Paddle in accordance with Paddle's Buyer Terms and applicable consumer-protection law. Where you withdraw within the withdrawal period and have already begun to use the Service, you may be charged an amount proportionate to the use you have made of the Service up to the point of withdrawal.
Consumers outside the European Union. Where mandatory withdrawal, cancellation, cooling-off, or similar rights exist under the law of your country of habitual residence, they apply unaffected by this Refund Policy, and any related refunds are operated by Paddle in accordance with applicable law.
This Section does not limit any other mandatory consumer right under the law of your country of habitual residence.
7. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback through your card issuer or bank in respect of a charge processed by Paddle, Paddle handles the chargeback as Merchant of Record. We may suspend or terminate your account during the chargeback process and after, at our discretion, where we reasonably consider that the chargeback is unjustified or that continued provision of the Service would expose us to risk.
8. Changes
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The current version and effective date are shown at the top of this document. Material changes are notified by email at least 30 days before the effective date.
